The prestigious President’s Fire Service Medals for 2026 have been announced on the occasion of Independence Day. Two officials of the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services Department have been selected for the President’s Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service this year.
In recognition of their long and meritorious service, H.M. Shivakumaraswamy, Regional Fire Officer (Training), R.A. Mundkur Fire and Emergency Services Academy and M. Basavaraju, Assistant Fire Station Officer, Vidhana Soudha Fire Control Unit, Bengaluru, have been conferred the President’s Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service.
