It was decided to organize the Bengaluru International Film Festival from February 29 to March 7 in the Bengaluru International Film Festival Organizing Committee meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Addressing a press conference after the organizing committee meeting held today at the Chief Minister’s Home Office Complex, the Chief Minister said that the 15th edition of the International Film Festival was inaugurated on the evening of February 29 in front of Vidhan Soudha. He informed that this film festival is a film festival which has been recognized abroad and not only foreign films will be screened, but also various Indian films including Kannada will be screened and the closing ceremony will be held on March 7 and the Governor will give awards on that day.
Along with the organizing committee meeting, a core committee is also formed and it is decided how the ceremony should be organized. Messages of communalism, peace, equality, gender equality, harmony, humanity should reach the society. The film festival will be held with more emphasis on diversity. The Chief Minister said that the government will provide the necessary financial assistance to make it more popular.
Earlier, the inauguration of the International Film Festival was held in front of the Vidhana Soudha. Famous artists of foreign cinema are being invited. He said that this was discussed in today’s meeting and he is confident that the International Film Festival will be successful this time too.
Highlights of Bangalore International Film Festival 15th Organizing Committee Meeting:
In the film festival, it was decided to emphasize the ideas of harmony, co-existence, awareness of constitution, inclusion of all, and to give the message of humanity.
A meeting of the organizing committee to organize the 15th edition of Bangalore International Film Festival was held today. All the members of the organizing committee participated in the meeting and gave suggestions. Bangalore International Film Festival has gained global popularity. The 15th film festival is scheduled to be held from February 29 to March 7. Every year the film festival is organized in the month of February and March, this time also the tentative dates have been scheduled to organize the 15th Bangalore International Film Festival in the month of February / March.
On February 29, Thursday evening, the inaugural program of the film festival was held in front of Vidhana Soudha. The film festival will be screened from March 01 to 07 and the closing ceremony will be held on Thursday evening, March 07 at the banquet hall of Vidhana Soudha, where the Governor will distribute the awards.

Accordingly, preliminary preparations are being made for the film festival, and in the first phase, arrangements are being made to bring the best movies from home and abroad for screening in the film festival. Vidyashankar, who has expertise in film festival work, has been appointed as the artistic director. Along with this, steps have been taken to recruit Organizers / Technical Consultants / Volunteers temporarily and get their services on remuneration basis.
The President said that the Karnataka Board of Film Commerce will also provide all kinds of assistance to make this program a success. Like every year, the film will be shown on 11 screens of PVR at Orion Mall.
