Busworld Türkiye 2026 grows by 15% as innovation takes centre stage.

The 11th edition of Busworld Türkiye, held from 17 to 19 June 2026 at the Istanbul Fuar
Merkezi, once again confirmed its position as the leading bus industry event in the region.
The exhibition welcomed 13.768 visitors, including 2.626 international attendees, and brought
together 161 exhibitors across 11,358 square metres of exhibition space, a 15% increase
compared with the previous edition.
Electrification leads, while multiple technologies coexist
The transition towards lower-emission mobility was clearly visible throughout the exhibition
halls. Manufacturers showcased an extensive range of battery-electric vehicles, underlining
Türkiye’s growing role in the development and production of sustainable passenger transport
technologies.
At the same time, Busworld Türkiye reflected the technological diversity that continues to
characterize many bus markets. Alongside electric vehicles, exhibitors also presented diesel,
CNG and hybrid models, illustrating how operators across different regions continue to adopt
solutions that best match their operational realities, infrastructure and investment cycles.
Otokar, Anadolu Isuzu, Karsan, Iveco Bus, BMC, Bozankaya, HABAŞ, and Temsa were
among the manufacturers presenting their latest vehicle portfolios. IVECO Bus introduced its
Crossway Low Entry Elec in Türkiye. Several exhibitors also highlighted charging technologies,
battery innovations and integrated energy management solutions designed to support fleet
electrification.
Autonomous and hydrogen technologies move from concept to reality
While battery-electric vehicles dominated the spotlight, visitors also witnessed the growing
maturity of autonomous and hydrogen-powered technologies.
Karsan showcased its Autonomous e-ATAK, while Otokar presented the Autonomous e-
CENTRO. The presence of two autonomous buses on the exhibition floor demonstrated how
Turkish manufacturers are increasingly expanding their expertise beyond vehicle production
into advanced mobility technologies.
Hydrogen propulsion also attracted considerable attention. HABAŞ presented its Comfort City
H2 fuel-cell bus, highlighting the industry’s continued exploration of complementary zero-
emission solutions for applications where range, operating flexibility and rapid refuelling remain
key requirements.
Together, these developments confirmed that innovation in the bus industry is no longer limited
to vehicle electrification alone. Automation, connectivity, safety systems and alternative
propulsion technologies are increasingly evolving in parallel.

Safety, connectivity and intelligent mobility gain momentum
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), connectivity solutions and intelligent fleet
management technologies featured prominently throughout the exhibition.
Suppliers presented a wide range of solutions aimed at improving road safety, reducing
operational costs and supporting the digital transformation of public transport fleets. The
growing importance of software, data management and vehicle intelligence reflects the
industry’s evolution towards connected mobility ecosystems.
Türkiye’s minibus expertise remains a unique strength
Türkiye’s longstanding expertise in minibus and midibus manufacturing was once again
prominently represented throughout the exhibition. Numerous bodybuilders and specialist
manufacturers showcased vehicles tailored to urban, regional, tourism and shuttle
applications.
This segment remains one of the country’s key strengths and continues to play an important
role in Türkiye’s export success across a wide range of international markets.
International business platform
Beyond the vehicles and technologies on display, Busworld Türkiye once again proved its
value as a business platform for the international bus industry.
The exhibition attracted manufacturers, operators, authorities, suppliers and mobility
professionals from across multiple regions, creating opportunities for networking, knowledge
exchange and new business partnerships.
Türkiye’s strategic location between Europe, Asia and the Middle East continues to reinforce
its position as both a manufacturing centre and an increasingly important innovation hub for
passenger transport technologies.
