Bengaluru, March 21: Channemallikarjuna Yale survived two tough qualifying rounds on the weekend and began the main round with a bang ousting second seed Likhith Gowda with a straight sets 7-5, 6-2 victory in the SAT AITA U-14 CS 7 tennis tournament which began at the Srinath Academy of Tennis courts here on Monday.
Barring Likhith, all the other seeded players advanced to the pre-quarterfinals. The girls U-14 matches were delayed to overnight rain.
