Stuttgart. The Mercedes-Benz Summer Concerts have had to be cancelled this year. However, the Mercedes-Benz Museum is still offering rousing open-air music with a festival atmosphere: On 10 July 2020 at 8 p.m., “Gentleman” will be performing at the BW-Bank Kulturwasen event. This Mercedes-Benz Museum concert is a drive-in event, and admission is from 6.30 p.m. The sound for what is happening on stage is transmitted directly into the sound system of the car – so a good sound experience is guaranteed.
The “Gentleman” in question is Tilmann Otto – who will be offering the finest in reggae music. This musician soaked up the reggae culture as a teenager in Jamaica and his music sounds as if it has been imported right from the heart of that Caribbean island. The music is completely authentic and even approved of by the Jamaicans themselves: “Gentleman” has not only produced studio albums in Jamaica, but has also performed there live. The next Mercedes-Benz Summer Concerts will be held on the grand festival stage at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in July 2021. It has been confirmed that the performances by Álvaro Soler and Sido originally scheduled for 2020 will take place in 2021.
