Under the guidance of renowned Bharatanatyam exponent Guru Vid. Dr. Priya Ganesh, the sisters will perform a thematic presentation titled “Divya Kumararu”, a dance production portraying the divine leelas of Krishna and Balarama, highlighting their roles in Dharma Pālane (preservation of righteousness) and Loka Kalyāna (universal welfare) on May 14,2025 at 5:00 pm at Ravindra Kalakshetra.
Kumari Prishika Ramagouni, a 6th-grade student of Greenwood High International School, began her Bharatanatyam journey at the age of four. She has excelled under the mentorship of Dr. Priya Ganesh, having scored above distinction in the Junior Dance Bharatanatyam Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysore. Apart from dance, Prishika is a trained gymnast, an avid reader, and a passionate Carnatic music student under Kum. Bhavana. She has also performed on prestigious stages including Rama Mandir, Ayodhya.
Her younger sister, Kumari Moukshika Ramagouni, currently in Grade 4 at the same institution, commenced her classical training at the age of three. Equally enthusiastic about the arts, Moukshika is also pursuing Carnatic vocal music and has participated in several dance productions choreographed by her guru, including a performance at Rama Mandir, Ayodhya. Both dancers have been mentored by Guru Vid. Dr. Priya Ganesh, a distinguished performer and academician, known for her Ph.D. research on the efficacy of dance and yoga for mentally challenged and autistic children. Her commitment to inclusivity and excellence in classical dance has shaped the artistic path of the sisters.
The event will feature Koravanji-style anchoring by Kum. Sanidhya and Kum. Purvi, and will be graced by a distinguished lineup of chief guests, including: Nrithya Saraswathi Smt. Shubha Dhananjay, Bharatanatyam artist,Smt. Ranjini Dattatri, Chairperson, Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy, Sri Srikanta Shastri, Scholar and Cultural Patron
