The FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship 2022 is scheduled to be held at Bengaluru from 5th -11th September 2022. The FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship – 2022 will be played in two Divisions i.e. Division A & Division B.
The Countries participating in FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship 2022 – Division A are China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Chinese, Taipei, Australia and New Zealand.
The Countries participating in FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship -2022 Division B are Hong Kong, Jordan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Philippines, Samoa and Thailand.
The Indian U18 Women’s Basketball Team is playing in FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship 2022 -Division A.
The FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship 2022 – Division A will be held at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru from 5th – 11th September 2022.
The FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship 2022 – Division B will be held at Koramangala Indoor Stadium from 5th -11th September 2022.
The Preparations are well on track and both the venues are being refurbished as per FIBA guidelines. The Department of youth Empowerment & Sports, Government of Karnataka is providing full assistance to Basketball Federation of India to ensure the successful conduct of the event. This will be the Sixth FIBA event that will be held in Bengaluru, India.
The FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship will witness 16 International Teams participating comprising of 192 Players, 96 Officials, 100 Volunteers and for Basketball Federation of India hosting events of such big magnitude acts as a catalyst for the overall effort to develop and promote the game in India.
The First Four Teams from the FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship – 2022 will qualify for the FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup scheduled to be held at Madrid, Spain from 15th -23th July 2023.
