Bangalore, April 13, 2023:
Brahmotsava is an annual 12-day festival celebrated at ISKCON Bangalore to commemorate the divine appearance of the Deities at Hare Krishna Hill, Rajajinagar. The festivities commenced with the Dhwaja Arohana (hoisting the sacred flag of Garuda) on 4 April, 2023. Every evening, the deities of Sri Radha Krishnachandra were adorned in different alankaras and carried on a procession in various vahanas (carriers) around the temple. Cultural programs like dance and drama were performed by renowned artistes followed by Jhulan Seva amidst melodious kirtans and bhajans.
Thousands of devotees participated enthusiastically and offered various sevas to Lord Krishna during the 26th Brahmotsava celebrations of the temple. The festival will culminate on 15 April with the Dhwaja Avarohana (lowering of the Garuda flag) and Maha Samprokshana of the sanctified water.
