Expanding wealth services for Affluent, HNW, UHNW, and non-resident Indians in burgeoning wealth and industrial centers
Nashik: HSBC India inaugurated its new branch in Nashik, Maharashtra, marking a significant step in its strategic expansion across the country. The launch reinforces HSBC’s focus on the wealth opportunity, where it is the leading international bank offering a full spectrum of solutions and services to clients across International Wealth and Premier Banking, and Corporate and Institutional Banking.
Nashik is emerging as a prominent growth centre supporting Maharashtra’s significant contribution to national output, investment and employment1. From engineering and electricals to food processing, logistics, textiles and hospitality, Nashik is emerging as a multi-sector growth engine. Today, the city is positioned as the next-generation investment destination with a proposed pipeline of 314 projects, intended investment of over Rs 14,000 crore and the potential to create over 35,000 employment opportunities2.
HSBC’s new Nashik branch is strategically located to meet the evolving financial and wealth needs of this fast-growing customer segment. This momentum reflects a broader expansion in India’s wealth landscape where the country’s high-net-worth population increased in 2025, with 11,300 new HNWIs added during the year3.
Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Batra, Head of International Wealth and Premier Banking, HSBC India, said, “India’s wealth creation is expanding well beyond the metros, and Nashik is a strong example of an emerging center where entrepreneurship and ambition are translating into rising personal wealth and more global financial needs. Our new branch in Nashik reflects HSBC’s commitment to being closer to our customers and providing world-class banking and wealth solutions tailored to their aspirations, whether they’re building businesses, investing for the future, or managing wealth and opportunities across borders. As India’s leading international bank, we remain committed to helping our clients explore opportunities and achieve their ambitions within India and globally.”
HSBC has maintained a strong presence in India for over 170 years, supporting customers in their financial journeys both locally and globally. It now has a network of 34 branches across 22 cities in India.
HSBC India has opened new branches in Amritsar, Indore, Vadodara, Lucknow, Nagpur, Surat, and Thiruvananthapuram recently following the Reserve Bank of India’s approval in 2025 to open 20 new bank branches in key cities.
