KSLTA enters into a strategic alliance with HEAD

Bengaluru, Feb 5: The Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) has entered into a strategic alliance with leading racquet brand, HEAD. The partnership aims to support tennis players from Karnataka and tournaments hosted by KSLTA.
As part of the agreement, HEAD, a market leader in tennis equipment and endorsed by some of the biggest names in tennis, including Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic, intends to partner with the Junior Development Programme run by KSLTA.
“We are very pleased to welcome our equipment partner, HEAD. The partnership is in line with our vision of growing and developing the game of tennis in Karnataka and benefits the entire gamut of tennis – professional players, events, and budding juniors in Karnataka,” said Maheshwar Rao, Hon. Secretary, KSLTA.
HEAD will provide equipment to a total of 20 deserving players from three different age categories, conduct an annual tennis clinic where international players from HEAD will share their experiences and tips with junior players, support KSLTA events with tennis balls, and hold an annual Coach Affiliation/Coaches Education Programme.
Neeraj Aggarwal, Director, Delux Sports, exclusive partners of HEAD in India, said: “We hope to augment KSLTA’s effort by chipping in with our support. We believe that equipment also plays an important role in the performance of a player and we wanted to showcase our products to the end users and ultimately help the players acclimatize to international standards.”
The company and its online partner, Racquets4u will provide special discounts on HEAD products to 50 top state tennis players. HEAD has also agreed to provide the support staff including referees, umpires, court supervisors and ball boys with clothing.
