Mr. Anoop Kumar Rai assumed charge as Director (Marketing) of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on August 13, 2026. Prior to this appointment, he served as Executive Director of BEL’s Central Research Laboratory (CRL), Ghaziabad, from 2025, following a distinguished tenure as Chief Scientist. With a prolific career spanning 34 years, Mr. Anoop Kumar Rai is a visionary leader in defence and niche technologies, with extensive experience in translating complex military requirements into indigenous technological solutions.
With his extensive experience in defence technologies, Artificial Intelligence, C4I2SR, unmanned systems, civilian diversification and technology indigenisation, Mr. Anoop Kumar Rai is expected to further strengthen BEL’s marketing strategy, customer engagement and global outreach, while contributing to the company’s continued growth and its mission of providing state-of-the-art indigenous solutions for the defence and strategic sectors.
