The 15 year-old Mysore Girl, will represent India in the U-16 Category of the Asia Finals of The Faldo Series.

Mysore Golf Course’s Pranavi Urs, proved yet again to be one of the best representatives for Junior Golf in India, winning her second consecutive entry to the Faldo Series Final in Asia. Pranavi, with a cumulative 3 day score of 2-over 218 (75,68,75) booked her spot in the U-16 Girls Category in the Asia Finals. As like last year, she also had the lowest score amongst the 5 categories, which also grants her the title of Champion – Faldo Series, India – two years in a row. Pranavi will be joined at the Asia Finals by, Keshav Mishra in the Boys U-21 Category with a score of twelve-over 228 (75, 74,79); Aryan Roopa Anand in the Boys U-18 Category with a score of seventeen-over 233 (77,78,77); Shaurya Bhattacharya in the Boys U-16 Category with a score of six-over 222 and Tanishka Kumar in the Girls U-21 Category with a score of 20-over 236. All five winners will represent India at the Faldo Series Asia Finals in their respective categories.
While Pranavi was a clear winner in her category, with Nayanika Sanga, carding the next lowest score at nine-over 225, the Girls U-21 Category was a closely fought contest between Tanishka Kumar and Gauri Kharade who both ended their three rounds at 236 with Tanishka being decided as winner on the second play-off hole on-par. Gauri who had completed her third round with a seven-over 79, and carded a two-over 74 and eleven-over 83 on the previous two days was equalized by Tanishka’s eight-over 80 from the third round added to a five-over 77 and seven-Over 79 from the previous two rounds.
The boys competition was also as closely fought with Keshav Mishra at 228 winning the Boy U-21 category only a single shot ahead of Vignesh Thakur and Aryan Roopa Anand 233 also winning his spot in the U-18 Boys Category with a single shot lead against Daksh Shokeen. Shaurya Bhattacharya at 222 completes the team of five to represent India at the Asia Final as the winner of the Boys U-16 Category, edging out the upcoming talent Arjun Bhati by 4 strokes.
The Faldo Series India Finals was part of the second season of EKA, a CSR Initiative by IIFL Investment Managers that had earlier this year had hosted the Mumbai International Chess Tournament.
