To develop 10 ecotourism destinations on its 10th anniversary.
Bengaluru: There can be no better way to celebrate 10 years success of a pioneering business concept than to launch another unique venture. Siri Nature Roosts – an ensemble of unique nature blended luxury cottages has been launched by Rashi Eco Tourism Ltd, creators of award winning Guhantara – first cave resort in India, established in 2008. Rashi Eco Tourism’s bouquet of offerings include Shilhaandara, and Jhari Eco Stay.
Siri Nature Roosts marks the company’s entry into the eco luxury premium segment. “It is the baby, conceived after 10 years of perfecting the art and science of ecotourism,” MJ Srikant, the Chief Spokesperson of Rashi Eco Tourism Ltd said today at the press meet addressing on behalf of the company Promoters who could not make it to the meet due to unforeseen reasons.
“After a decade of redefining ecotourism and uncompromising hospitality the company conceptualised Siri Nature Roosts. Siri Nature Roosts has been built without disturbing the local environment, it’s flora and fauna. The cottages are not mere structures; each one of them has been carefully nested into the natural landscape of the place. The design is such that, if looked at from a drone camera, the resort will appear to be merging into the natural greenery. One will not be able to see the structures as separate entity,” Srikant said about the concept of Siri Nature Roosts.
“SN Ramesh the Architect and Managing Director of our group wanted the materials used, to be locally sourced to ensure native element is present and preserved in every aspect, ” revealed Srikant.
Karnataka has many beautiful destinations and a paradise unexplored. Rashi Eco Tourism has an action plan towards building sustainable tourism and will focus on creating landmarks across Karnataka. Over the next 5 years, it will be developing such unique eco concept-based landmarks and attractions in Kabini, Maravanthe, Hampi, Bijapur, Belgaum, Devanahalli and few other places.
“Nature preservation, use of natural elements and self-sustainability are hallmarks of all our projects. Annually, nearly 2.50 lakh people experience the finest blend of ecotourism and hospitality at Rashi’s nature themed projects.” Stated MJ Srikant
“In every project the local folklore and nature is an integral part of the theme. The larger than life statue of Vanadevathe at Siri Coffee has become synonymous with Chikmagalur and is representative of its folklore. Siri Nature Roosts will be a landmark destination that will drive more national and international tourists to Chikmagalur.” emphasized MJ Srikant.
The property is spread over 21 acres on Mullayanagiri state highway 57, currently housing 19 cottages with private pools and 12 cottages with jacuzzi. The resort boasts of 2.5-acre clubhouse and recreational facilities, Ayurvedic health spa, sprawling banquet hall, conference room, dining area, indoor sports & play courts, gym, outdoor play courts and open-air amphitheatre. 60 more cottages will be developed in the first phase.
“Siri Nature Roost is a unique concept wherein each of the cottages and other amenities in the project are seamlessly nested in the elements of nature while providing premium luxury and comfort at the same time. The architecture of the structures ensures comfortable indoor temperatures even in the summer and the usage of natural elements reduces the overall carbon footprint. People can experience barefoot trekking, migratory birds, the blooming coffee flowers, the magical sight of fireflies lighting up the valley and many more.” highlights Srikant.
