The 62nd annual Conference of the Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ISAM) is going to be held at the Institute of Aerospace Medicine (IAM), Bengaluru from 23 to 25 November 2023. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Aerospace Medicine: Strength, Support & Solution’.
The ISAM will be holding its 62nd annual Conference this year in support of the organizations involved in flying and space operations. ISAM was established in 1952 by a group of Indian Air Force medical officers stationed in Delhi who could foresee the medical support required to meet the physiological, and psychological challenges of flying. The first conference of the society was held in 1954. Over the years, the Society has diligently and regularly conducted a scientific annual gathering that has helped find solutions to aeromedical issues.
Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff will be the Chief Guest for this year’s conference. The Conference will have guest orations, multiple scientific sessions and presentations. Conduct of the Conference will be hybrid in nature, with about 200 participants attending the conference physically and about 100 being online. Distinguished aerospace medicine professionals, both military and civil, aircrew, members of the civil aviation industry, and DRDO will attend the conference.
