The Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore (CHAFB) conducted an impactful outreach program for the children of the Sheila Khotwal Institute for the Deaf (SKID) on July 25th & 26th, 2023. The two-day initiative provided comprehensive health check-up for 130 children, led by a dedicated team of specialists including a paediatrician, an ENT specialist, a peadodontist, and a physician. In addition to thorough medical evaluations, the children received free chickenpox vaccinations, further emphasizing CHAFB’s commitment to proactive healthcare. Air Vice Marshal S Shankar, the Commandant of CHAFB, addressed the participants, reiterating the hospital’s dedication to community health and wellbeing. Adding to the joyful atmosphere, Mrs Gayatri Shankar, President AFFWA (Local), and the sanginis distributed sweets to the children, brightening their day. The program not only met its health objectives, but also fostered stronger community bonds, and brought smiles to the faces of the children, effectively enriching their lives.
