CII Karnataka organised the 15th Edition of Manufacturing Conference today in Bengaluru. Addressing the theme on “Sustainable Manufacturing & Industrial Automation – Restart, Reinvent, reskill”, key manufacturing experts, business heads and stakeholders present at the conference deliberated on facets of the future of manufacturing and the state’s focus to emerge as a leader in the Global Value Chain.
The conference focused on the future trends, which highlighted the comprehensive industrialization process with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Sustainable Business Processes will propel the industrial transformation.
Delivering the Inaugural address, Ms Gunjan Krisha, IAS, Commissioner, Industrial Development, Government of Karnataka shared the State’s Vision to emerge as a leader in the Global Value Chain. She also added that several initiatives and policy frameworks were being rolled out to position Karnataka as a global Manufacturing hub and the importance of building indigenous technologies, which would enhance the R&D and knowledge capabilities of the State, globally.
Mr L Krishnan, Past Chairman, CII Karnataka & Managing Director, TaeguTec India Pvt Ltd addressed on the prominence of Industrial Automation and way forward for MSMEs to adopt these technologies for improved productivity and attain global competitiveness. “In house capability building and competitiveness of business processes will create the roadmap for future growth”, said Mr Krishnan, delivering the Special Address at the conference.
Mr Arjun Ranga, Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council, while delivering the Special Address, highlighted the certainties that we face globally – Supply Chain disruptions, Workforce and Skilled shortages, digitisation, and cyber security. He also added that these areas need to be strengthen and developed for the industries to grow. “Manufacturing is the real essence and growth engine for the State with process innovation being the order of the day”.
Mr B Indushekar, Convenor, CII Karnataka Manufacturing & Operational Excellence Panel & Director Real Estate, Volvo Group India Pvt Ltd shared that the conference was highligthing the key trends defining manfuacturing – Quality, Global Productivity, Industry Academia Partnerships, MSMEs, Visionary Leadership, Design and Innovation in Manufacturing.
Mr K G Ashok Rao, Convenor, MSME Panel & Managing Director, KGK Engineering emphasised on the importance of Sustainable Manufacturing practices being adopted progressively by MSMEs.
The conference, being an annual initiative of CII Karnataka was well attended with 100+ prominent industry members from across leading organisations.
