Bengaluru, July 23 (Karnataka Information) :
Mega recruitment exams for more than 70,000 vacant posts across various state government departments will be conducted starting in August, September, and the following months. Among these, the official schedule for a series of written exams for police recruitment has been announced.
To ensure exams are conducted in a completely transparent, fair, and corruption-free environment, a high-level preparatory meeting with senior officials was held under the chairmanship of Rajender Kumar Kataria, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department.
Complete Schedule for Police Recruitment Written Exams
The dates and breakdown of posts for written exams to recruit constables across various departments of the Police Force are as follows:
August 12, 2026: Civil Police Constable – 3,991 posts, September 07, 2026: Armed Police Constable – 1,600 posts and September 20, 2026: Special Police Constable (KSRP, IRB, and KSISF) – 2,314 posts
In this first phase, written exams will be conducted for a total of 7,905 Police Constable posts, followed by exams for more than 62,000 other posts in subsequent phases.
Zero Tolerance for Malpractice – Strict Surveillance by Cyber Crime Cell
Cyber Vigilance: To prevent question paper leaks, impersonation, use of electronic gadgets, or any organized malpractices, Cyber Crime units and Intelligence wings have been instructed to maintain strict surveillance on social media and digital platforms.
Severe Penalties under Strict Act: The government has warned that anyone engaging in malpractice will face stringent legal action under the “Karnataka Public Examinations (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2023.”
Tight Security and Supervision:
Deputy Commissioners, Police Commissioners, and Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been issued strict directions to ensure tight security around examination centers, safe transportation of confidential exam materials, efficient traffic management, and quick emergency response systems.
The high-level meeting was attended by Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Kumar, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Hithendra, Revenue Commissioner Meena Nagaraj, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) Executive Director Prasanna, and several other senior officials.
The department reassured candidates that the exams will be conducted with complete transparency to ensure fairness for all eligible and hard-working aspirants.
