Tirumala,05 December 2023: TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said that TTD topped the religious institutions which provided high-quality of Annaprasadam to lakhs of devotees from all over the world who throng the hill shrine every day.
Speaking to media on Tuesday the TTD Chairman lamented that a section of social media had campaigned that some devotees had staged a protest recently at Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex.
He said around 15 persons in the dining hall amongst 700 other pilgrims had pointed out the quality of food at Annaprasada Bhavan. He said TTD will never compromise on the quality. But these persons who complained about the food quality tried to intimidate others which is absolutely wrong in a pilgrim centre.
He said the food habits are personally divergent but in pilgrim centers devotees have to observe patience. TTD is ever prepared to set right any lapses, if any.

DRINKING WATER NEEDS OF TIRUMALA FULFILLED
Tirumala,05 December 2023: TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said the drinking water requirement of Tirumala for the entire year ahead has been met with abundant rains received in the last four days.
The Chairman along with TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam and other officials inspected the reservoirs in Tirumala which brimming with waters due to the incessant heavy rains caused by the Michuang cyclone effect.
Speaking to media later the Chairman said fear of water scarcity popped up for Tirumala fifteen days ago. To resolve the situation TTD had decided to draw water from the Kandaleru reservoir also.
He said however as a result of the Sri Srinivasa Divyanugraha Homa which began from November 23 at the Sapta Go Pradakshina Mandiram, the rains commenced and with the benign blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy in the last two days Tirumala had received 24 cms of rainfall.
He said TTD officials are reviewing the situation frequently and opened the gates of the Gogarbham, Papa Vinasanam and Akashaganga dams during wee hours on Tuesday.
