1400+ SILVERS TO TAKE THE STARTLINE ON SUNDAY, 28th APRIL
Bengaluru, 24th April 2024: Procam International, pioneers running revolution in India strengthens its partnership with Vayah Vikas, the Bengaluru-based non-profit dedicated to building a supportive community for seniors. Vayah Vikas will return as the Silvers’ Run Facilitator of the TCS World 10K for the second consecutive year.
Building on the resounding success of the previous TCS World 10K edition, the 2024 edition of the event will welcome 1400+ participants hailing from various locations across Bengaluru, as well as cities like Tumkur, Anantapur, and Mysore.
Among the participants, comprised of 788 males and 527 females, one standout figure emerges – Ms Susheela Guddad, a spirited 91-year-old poised to embark on the thrilling journey of the TCS World 10K Silvers’ Run.
The Silvers’ Run earlier known as the Senior Citizens’ Run has been an integral part of this World Athletics Gold Label Road Race since its inception. A distinct category within the race, it is a significant platform that acknowledges the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in athletic events.
The category highlights the significance of encouraging physical activity in later years, involvement of the seniors in the mainstream and an equal opportunity to explore new avenues. It also gives the silvers a chance to take centre stage and show off their talents, prowess, and tenacity.
