The 71st All India Cooperation Week program will be organized from November 14 to 20 this year like every year, Minister for Cooperation and Hassan District In-charge Minister K.N. Rajanna said.
Addressing a press conference on the 71st All India Cooperation Week held at Vidhansouda today, the minister said that the cooperation week will be celebrated in a festive manner by all the cooperatives in the state as part of the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru.
During this seven-day cooperation week, lectures will be organized by experts on each day about the cooperation week and senior citizens of the state.
Sahakar Ratna Award will be given to the co-operatives. State Co-operatives should serve the people of the State at the highest level. All the villagers should be made aware about the cooperation week. He wanted to transform the cooperative movement into a people’s movement.
The government does not spend money on the program. The co-operatives will bear the cost of the program and organize the program. He said that Hon’ble Chief Minister will also participate in this cooperation week and the venue of the program will be announced in the next day.
In the press conference, MLA, former minister and president of Karnataka State Cooperative Mahamandal G.T. Devegowda and officials of the Cooperation Department were present.
