Bengaluru, 22 July 2022- Catefete is the Signature event of Army Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Bengaluru, a brand in making.
It was a two day National Level Annual event which focused on surfacing the talents of the young and future hoteliers PAN INDIA.
On DAY 1, 21st July 2022, began with the formalities of registration of all the participants of various Hotel Management Institutions across India followed by allocation of Participant code for all Individual Participants. A total of 10 Teams registered.
The inauguration of the event commenced with lighting of the lamp and welcoming all the dignitaries from various reputed Hospitality Industry and dignified Personnel from the Indian Army and of course not excluding the participants and members of our own Institution.
The Panel Discussion was the key highlight of Catafete 2022. The discussion laid emphasis on the benefits and changes of the Hotel Industry and also how the industry has transformed post Covid 19.
It provided vital insights to the august audience on Hotel Marketing, Revenue Management and Hotel Entrepreneurship and also advised the students community to stay focused and shift their thought processes in the right direction.
The panel members touched upon the topics and provided qualitative information on sustainability, Consistency and adaptation to Technology which is the driving force behind all the Hotels.

The First session of the first day was successfully completed and was followed by a High tea.
The substantial competitions then began in the respective venues post lunch.
The following competitions were held :-
- Foodie Fix and From the Map to the plate were the two Culinary events that took place in the Advanced Training Kitchen.
- Plated Dessert an event of Baker’s boast was simultaneously held in Bakery Unit.
- Free Pouring and Mixology of Brew crew of Food & Beverage division was held in Cinnamon Restaurant.
- Metamorphose and Adorn of Impresario of Housekeeping department; and
- Be a Leader not a follower and Success in Chaos of Best Manager event of Front Office
On Day 2, the following competitions were organised:
- Fusaholic and Chef’s lens Culinary competition
- Petit Four of Bakery
- Quiz Mania & Blind tasting of Food &beverage
- Blooming prolific and Tom Thumb of Housekeeping and
- Crack the Deal and Beat the Heat of Front office department.
With the above mentioned events having been on the move an exclusive quiz program was organized and conducted simultaneously for the +2 students of Army Public School, the participants being
- Army Public School – Kamaraj Road
- Army Public School – ASC Center and
- Army Public School – PRTC
A total of six teams participated with two members per team.
Post completion of all competitions a demonstration on Lebanese cuisine was organized in the “NaLa Studio kitchen”. Celebrity Chef Ammar Molki was the resource person and he is a man who carries with him an excellent record of 25 years of exciting culinary journey.
The Valedictory function was graced by Brig Sunil Sheoran, SENA MEDAL (BAR), Commandant, Para Regiment Training Centre, Bangalore, accompanied with accomplished dignatories:
