Bengaluru, Jan 4: Kajal Ramishetty celebrated the New Year by creating the biggest flutter of the day when she showed third seed Utsah Kalra the door with a 8-6 victory in the first round of the AITA Under-18 Tennis Championship Series that began at the Rohan Bopanna The Sports School Tennis Academy here on Monday. The three day event is held under the aegis of AITA and KSLTA and has attracted some of the top players from across the country.
In the other upsets of the day, Aditya Arora who trains at Rohan Bopannaโs Academy was a 8-2 winner over fifth seed Ved Sharan in the Boys category while Shreenidhi Balaji blanked fifth seed Charmi Gopinath 8-0 in the Girls section.
