Karnataka tops in renewable energy production; Unveiling of green vehicles

Karnataka is at the fore in the field of renewable energy, and against this backdrop, the three-day 2nd edition of the International “India Green Energy Expo” has been organized from June 3 in collaboration with the Karnataka Solar Energy Producers Association and the Fried Energy Environment Resource Research Institute at the BIEC Center in Bangalore, and the world of green energy will be unveiled. In this fair, more than 100 government organizations including BESCOM, Credel have supported the fair.
Speaking at the press conference, All India Solar Thermal Federation President K.R. Surendra Kumar, Energy Minister K.J. George, Heavy and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil will inaugurate the fair. Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department Gaurav Gupta, Industries Department Commissioner Gunjan Krishnan, BESCOM Managing Director B. Mahantesh, MSIL Managing Director Manoj Kumar, Credel Managing Director K.P. Rudrappa and others will participate, he said.
The fair is organized in collaboration with Association of Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles, MV Solar Systems Pvt Ltd. Producers, developers, technicians, traders in solar, wind, hydro, biomass sectors, Consultants are participating. The fair was organized with a major focus on PM Suryagarh and PM Kusum project. Aiming to add 500 GW capacity in the renewable energy sector, these two major projects are ambitious to generate 50 GW of electricity. Karnataka Small Industries Association, Peenya Industrial Association and local organizations have also expressed their support for the fair, he said.
According to the Reserve Bank of India report, Karnataka ranks first in generating 15,643 MW of renewable energy. Tamil Nadu followed with 15,225 MW, Gujarat 13,153 and Maharashtra 10,267 MW. The fair is committed to providing sustainable and clean energy for daily use and mobility. Under Kusum scheme
Aiming to generate 34,800 MW by 2026, the central government has earmarked Rs 34,422 crore. He said that the aim is to provide free electricity to one crore households under the PM Suryagarh scheme.
A separate conference will be held on the target of generating 500 GW of energy by 2030 in the field of renewable energy.
Bescom, Credel, CPRI, SEDBI, Warree, Adani Solar, Mircotech and other organizations will be involved. He said that 15,000 people are expected to visit the three-day fair, Australia Premium Solar, more than 100 prominent exhibitors from the country and abroad will participate.
