In a heartfelt tribute to National Cancer Survivors Month, Apollo Cancer Centres (ACCs) today unveiled CanWin, a pioneering support initiative designed to unite individuals across the cancer care spectrum—patients, survivors, caregivers, doctors, and volunteers—through shared strength and storytelling.
Addressing the gathering, Dinesh Madhavan, President, Group Oncology & International at Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, noted: “Modern cancer care goes beyond medicine. CanWin embodies our commitment to creating healing ecosystems where empathy and science work in tandem. Storytelling becomes a therapeutic force—bridging emotional gaps and empowering both speaker and listener.”
The initiative also received strong backing from Dr. Preetham Kabbinahithlu, Joint Director of Clinical Administration, Apollo Cancer Centre, Bengaluru, who described CanWin as “a step towards humanising cancer care—not just treating the disease, but nurturing the spirit.”
Professional storyteller Prashant Pradhan, who mentored participants in sharing their journeys, added: “Storytelling gives meaning to pain. It transforms silence into shared strength. These cancer winners are not just narrating events—they’re redefining survivorship.”
