INDIA, New Delhi, January 17, 2025 – Clean Electric, a leader in cutting-edge EV solutions, has launched its groundbreaking 15-minute universal and interoperable rapid charging system for light electric vehicles (LEVs) at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This innovation, built on the Standardized Open Network Type-6 BIS Approved Charging Standard, addresses one of the biggest challenges of EV adoption—charging speed.
By combining speed, compatibility, and convenience, Clean Electric’s technology makes EVs more practical for everyday use while paving the way for accelerated adoption of sustainable mobility in India.
Adding further momentum, Clean Electric announced partnerships with leading OEMs to integrate its revolutionary charging system across different EV categories:
Bounce: Integrating Clean Electric’s technology into its fleet of electric two-wheelers to ensure rapid and seamless charging, improving fleet uptime and user convenience, and an e-2W solution providing 60-80 km range in 15-20 minutes.
ADVERTISEMENTOmega Seiki Mobility: Offering the world’s fastest charging e-3W with a 125 km range in just 15 minutes. In addition, Clean Electric and Omega Seiki Mobility have also joined hands to enable 15-minute charging in a 7-ton electric truck.
These partnerships aim to establish a robust, interoperable charging infrastructure across India, benefiting consumers, commercial operators, and the broader EV ecosystem.
Clean Electric’s 15-minute rapid charging technology will enter mass production in March 2025, with deployment at standardized public charging stations nationwide. The company is working closely with its OEM partners to integrate this technology into their vehicles, ensuring a seamless transition for both consumers and commercial operators.

Clean Electric’s innovation draws parallels with the successful adoption of CCS2 charging standards in the e-4W and e-LCV segments, which enabled the rapid deployment of DC fast chargers and resolved the classic chicken-and-egg problem of EV infrastructure. With Type-6 BIS-approved charging for low voltage EVs (2W and 3W), OEMs gain access to a vast network of charging infrastructure, reducing barriers to EV adoption; Charge Point Operators (CPOs) benefit from higher utilization rates and increased revenue in smaller real estate spaces, making fast-charging stations more viable; and consumers experience faster, more reliable charging, bolstering confidence in EV ownership.
This announcement aligns with India’s ambitious target of achieving 80% EV penetration in the LEV segment by 2030, as outlined by the government. India’s EV revolution has gained momentum, particularly in the two-wheeler and three-wheeler categories, which account for the bulk of the nation’s EV adoption. However, the industry has long faced challenges in creating a universal and scalable charging standard. Clean Electric’s 15-minute rapid charging system addresses key challenges in the EV ecosystem, such as fragmented charging standards and the lack of interoperable and rapid charging infrastructure.
