


Bangalore, December 30, 2025: The sacred festival of Vaikuntha Ekadashi was celebrated with immense devotion, traditional rituals, and cultural splendor at both ISKCON Bangalore – Hare Krishna Hill (Rajajinagar) and Vaikuntha Hill (Vasanthapura). Both temples were magnificently decorated with flowers and traditional toranas to welcome hundreds of thousands of devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Krishna.
Devotional Rituals and Ceremonies- The festivities commenced early at 3:00 AM with the Suprabhata Seva of Sri Srinivasa Govinda. This was followed by a grand Maha Abhisheka and Pushpa Abhisheka, where the deity of Srinivasa Govinda was bathed with milk, panchagavya, fruit juices, sacred medicinal water, and other auspicious substances.
Following the abhisheka, a majestic Maha Pallakki Utsava (palanquin procession) was held around the Rajagopuram. During the Dwara Puja, renowned musician Varijashree Venugopal offered sangeeta seva.
Devotees participated in various services, including Laksharchana Seva (chanting 1lakh names of Lord Krishna), Kumkumarchana Seva, Kalyanotsava Seva, and Go Seva.
To manage the massive crowds, a newly renovated four-story building was inaugurated at Hare Krishna Hill, Rajajinagar. This facility features a dedicated slipper stand to ensure a smooth and organized experience for visitors.
Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, President of ISKCON Bangalore, delivered his message of blessings on the occasion as follows, “In this age of quarrel and hatred, the easiest path to attaining salvation is through the chanting of the Holy Name of Lord Krishna. We are very happy that lakhs of devotees are visiting our temples on the auspicious occasion of Sri Vaikuntha Ekadashi.May Sri Srinivasa Govinda bless everyone with a fulfilling year of happiness, health, peace and devotion.”
