A first-of-its-kind event to be hosted at Prestige Lakeside Habitat, Bengaluru’s only Disney themed residential township development
22 June 2018, Bangalore: Prestige Group, India’s leading real estate developer, is gearing up to host a pioneering event, ‘The Happy Run 2018’ in Bengaluru on Sunday – 24 June 2018 at their landmark property – Prestige Lakeside Habitat, Bengaluru’s only Disney themed residential township development. A first-of-its-kind run for kids in Bengaluru, they will be monitored using chips throughout the event.
Despite being a country with abundant sunshine, Vitamin D deficiency is fairly common in India. According to the ASSOCHAM latest survey conducted in Bangalore, around 88% of the population has a Vitamin D level which is less than normal. However, the bigger concern is that the population at large is not even aware of Vitamin D deficiency and its consequences.While inactive lifestyles are widely regarded as the main reason for increasing Vitamin D deficiency, doctors are pointing out that an increasing number of kids are falling prey to joint-related ailments because of these modern, sedentary ways. Lifestyle factors such as healthy diet, physical activity and spending time outdoors are some of the ways to ensure your Vitamin D levels are kept in check.

The event will take place on Sunday – 24 June 2018 at 8:00 am and will be open to all fitness enthusiasts, from various age groups. The run will include 4 types of races –
- Mini Run 1.5K (3 to 8 Years)
- Sub Junior Run 2K (9 to 12 Years)
- Junior Run 3K (13 to 16 Years)
- Family Relay 4.5K (2 adults aged above 16 and one kid aged below 16 participate together)
The registration fee for each of these races begin from INR 300. Ms. Uzma Irfan – Director, Prestige Group, said, “We are delighted to host the first edition of ‘The Happy Run’.
