Similarly, the drug menace has also been curbed and needs to be managed more effectively. He expressed his appreciation and said that the credit for this should go to the police department.
He said that DCRE police stations have been made operational to prevent atrocities against Scheduled Castes in the state. These need to work effectively and protect constitutional rights and values.
In one year, 191 people in the country, including 8 people from the state, have lost their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice and selflessness cannot be put to any price.
It is everyone’s duty to remember and pay tribute to him throughout the country. Police personnel are at the forefront in maintaining peace and order in the country. Your role in suppressing communal forces and evil forces is huge, he said. He said that the police department is also responsible for protecting the rights given to the people in the Constitution.
116 people have been given compassionate work in the police department. The medical reimbursement cost of the retired police health scheme has been increased from Rs 1 lakh per annum. The Chief Minister said that the salary has been increased to Rs 1.50 lakh and the health check-up cost of all police personnel has been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 1500.

Parameshwara, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Naseer Ahmed, Karnataka Police Director General Alok Mohan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Tushar Girinath and senior officers of the Police Department were present.
